They have one daughter Naomi who now attends the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture. She was born and raised in Viroqua and attended Laurel High School, a charter school in town. In high school she played hockey, ran long distance in track, and worked at Viroqua Food Co-op and Wonderstate Coffee.
